This class is a six-week long course designed for eighth graders to further the students’ computer use, knowledge, skills, and prepare them for high school computer applications. This course is composed of various topics including but not limited to proper computer ethics, social media behavior, keyboarding review skills, technology vocabulary, technology trends, Windows operating system features, a variety of internet research methods, word processing, desktop publishing, multi-media presentations, and spreadsheets. This course is designed to introduce and explore various applications including but not limited to MS Internet Explorer, MS Word, MS Publisher, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
